The Dutch economy contracted more than previously thought in the first quarter of this year. According to a new figure from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), the contraction was 0.5 percent compared to the previous quarter. Previously, the statistics agency reported a contraction of 0.1 percent. According to Statistics Netherlands, the further contraction is mainly due to a downward adjustment in exports.
