Samsung started teasing the Galaxy Ring in late February and then released the product five months later. The wearable has been selling in a number of markets for some time, and the company decided to share more real-life experiences from his personal perspective long after the review was released.

The company shared a number of cool videos showcasing the user experience when unboxing a new wearable device. The Galaxy Ring comes in a transparent plastic case packaged in a neat black retail box.

The ring sits in the center of the case, with LED lights around the device to indicate battery capacity. The Galaxy Ring comes in eight sizes, from 5 to 13 in US sizes.

Samsung is offering the Galaxy Ring in three colors for its titanium body – Black, Silver, and Gold.

The charging case can show the battery level by pressing the center button, and the battery can be charged via the USB-C port. Samsung’s article doesn’t mention that, but wireless charging is also supported.

The company is keen to point out that washing your hands with the Galaxy Ring is fine, as it is 10 ATM water resistant.

The ring has three sensors on the inside – for skin temperature, heart rate and accelerometer. It tracks all kinds of health data and then visualizes it in the Samsung Health app. Interestingly enough, Samsung says the Galaxy Ring app “must first be paired with a Galaxy smartphone,” but in reality, it works with any phone that has the Health app installed.

Samsung leaves one big question at the end of its unboxing — how can you find the right size for you? When a purchase is made through the Samsung online store, you will get a free sizing kit sent to you first so you can choose the right size. Or you can visit a Samsung Experience Store if there is one near you.
