The Euro match between Hungary and Scotland was marred on Sunday night by an ugly clash in the second half. Hungarian striker Barnabás Varga remained motionless on the grass for several minutes. Shortly after the collision, doctors and players rushed to use cloths to make sure Varga’s treatment was not visible. Suddenly there was an icy silence in Stuttgart.
