Princess Eugenie offered a heartfelt tribute to the women who have shaped her life, and reserved special praise for Queen Elizabeth II. Speaking on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast, Eugenie said: “He was simply one of the best people in the world. His sense of responsibility and dedication and love for his people really came out in public – as you all saw – and it happened publicly private with us.”
She continued: “We learned how to do things from him… how to talk to people, how to stay strong and obedient and kind. He instilled in us a lot of things and – boy, am I lucky to have a little of him.”
The Princess added: “When he did, I said to people ‘How lucky am I, to have a piece of him inside me?'” Eugenie, who celebrates her wedding anniversary on Saturday, hopes her son August will inherit some from the deceased’s inheritance. Queen Quality.
He said: “I want Augie to have his patience, calm and kindness, while always being able to laugh at himself and still have a shine in his eyes.”
Eugenie also expressed her hope to pass on some of the values she learned from her grandmother to her own family. The royal also credited her mother, Sarah Ferguson, for teaching her the importance of giving back.
He explained that the Duchess of York herself had “founded charities, built schools and traveled the world”. Eugenie revealed that she and her sister Beatrice share their mother “with all the children we think she needs to help.”
Beatrice also won admiration, with Eugenie highlighting her sister’s courageous battle with dyslexia, which Eugenie said had “made her who she is today”.
Princess Eugenie continues the family legacy of philanthropy, like her mother and grandmother, as co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective, an organization focused on eliminating modern slavery.
He also gives his support to various other charities, including Teenage Cancer Trust and Children in Crisis.
