A video showing a truck hitting a car shocked viewers after it was captured on dashcam footage.

The video was uploaded to TikTok and the shocking footage shows three vehicles caught up in the accident.

At an intersection, a truck turned onto the road at a bad angle and two cars waiting to exit onto the main road were hit. The incident occurred in Avonmouth, Bristol and fortunately no one was injured.

Dashboard camera footage shows the driver pulling up behind a stopped red BMW hatchback and preparing to turn left at an intersection.

However, as BMW points out, a truck turning onto a highway appears to be taking the corner at a bad angle and at too high a speed.

While doing so, the trailer hit a small BMW that was swinging – even causing it to crash into the car behind it that was filming.

Cars started honking to alert the truck that they had been hit.

There is no information about what happened after the incident, but social media viewers seemed to think the truck was at fault.

While most agree with this, some people believe there is more that other cars can do to avoid collisions.

Although counter comments stated that entire queues of traffic would not be able to back up to make room for trucks.

On 28 October, new rules for HGV drivers will come into force. HGV drivers in London must follow new safety laws. Large vehicles will also be given a Direct Vision Standard Score based on how well the driver can see the cabin without rearview mirrors or cameras.
