Josias dos Santos Tavares, 21, Jucinei Alves da Silva, 22, and Christian Pereira Paixão, 25, were charged on Tuesday (15), with attempted aggravated robbery of a 19-year-old girl.
The crime occurred on September 24 this year, on a public road in the Benvedere complex, Planalto neighborhood, Manaus Central-West Zone.
According to delegate Thomaz Vasconcelos Dias, head of the special unit, at the time of the crime, the young woman was walking to the gym, when she was approached by the perpetrators, who were in a red Fiat Uno vehicle.
“They carried firearms and used extreme violence while trying to steal the victim’s belongings. They even tried to force him into the vehicle, but he reacted and managed to escape from the criminals”, explained the delegation.
According to the delegation, after the victim registered a Police Report (BO), an investigation began and it was finally possible to identify who was responsible for the incident. The three suspects, Tuesday, were in the Parque Riachuelo complex, Tarumã neighborhood, western zone.
“They were taken to DERFD headquarters, where they confessed to the crime and were charged with attempted grand larceny. “The perpetrators Josias and Jucinei have gone to prison for robbery,” he said.
The three men will be charged with attempted grand robbery and will be arraigned in court.
