Inside Ananya Panday's Jungle Safari In Tanzania: "A Walk On The Wild Side"

Mumbai (Maharashtra):

Actor Ananya Panday on Thursday shared photos from her holiday in Tanzania.
In the picture, he is seen enjoying a jungle safari. He seemed very excited when he saw lions, tigers and other wildlife in the forest.

“Walking in the wild,” he captioned the Instagram post. Not long after, netizens chimed in in the comments column and wrote heartfelt reactions. Ananya’s best friend Shanaya Kapoor commented, “You look so cute in the 6th slide anni.”

Meanwhile, in the world of work, Ananya is enjoying the success of her Netflix film CTRL.
In the film, Ananya plays Nella Awasthi, an influencer who, after a painful breakup, turns to Artificial Intelligence (AI) to remove her ex-boyfriend Joe from her life. Recently, in an interview with ANI, director Vikramaditya Motwane shared what made him choose actress Gehraiyaan as the most suitable person for the role. When asked why he believed Ananya was the ideal choice, Motwane said he was looking for someone who could connect with the current generation, someone who was young, someone who was “internet savvy,” and also someone who was “a bit of a joke.”

“I saw her performance in Gehraiyaan and really liked it. She was very special in that film — very unique and contemporary. I liked her. So, when the script was ready, it was a no brainer to approach her. I wanted someone who was young, someone who was media savvy social, internet savvy and Instagram savvy, who has a strong presence, you know? Someone who looks youthful and is a youth icon and maybe that plays into it. But most of all, I love her as an actress,” he said.

Motwane also shared how the idea for CTRL came about, and said that he has always been a big fan of screen life films, taking inspiration from films like “Searching and Unfriended”
I think it was just the idea to make this really interesting thriller. I am a big fan of his previous screen life films. I think the inspiration, in this case, came from films like Searching and Unfriended, which have used this format of screen life — a voyeuristic way of looking at one’s computer. That has been a big inspiration,” Motwane shares.

“Avinash Sampath and I worked on this. He came up with the story, and we loved it straight away. It felt like a really cool thriller for a new audience you know, who spend most of their lives on social media and online. From there, one thing led to another another, and finally turned into this film,” he added.
