Earlier this week, the Council of State ruled that the two were not allowed to stay in the Netherlands. A Faber spokesman said on Friday that there was nothing they could do for Mikael and his mother and that the responsibility lay with the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). Halsema previously asked Faber to consult with the IND on the case, but the Faber spokesman said he saw no room for this.
