Erying has officially launched the Intel 14th Gen “HX” MoTD motherboard, featuring advanced specifications at an affordable price.

Erying has prepared a new MoTD motherboard based on the 14th Gen Intel “HX” Raptor Lake Refresh CPU. This new motherboard features a CPU aimed at the mobile segment but instead of using an LGA socket, it is soldered with this BGA CPU.
Erying Intel 14th Gen “HX” MoTD motherboard is listed on Tmall for 1799 Yuan or US$252. It’s unclear whether the CPU and motherboard will be available at this price and what the starting configuration will be.
Nonetheless, we can see from the page that the kit features the flagship Intel Core i9 14900HX CPU, which offers 24 cores and 32 threads. Likewise, there are two more CPUs available with this kit: the Core i7 14700HX, featuring 20 cores and 28 threads, and the Core i7 14650HX, featuring 16 cores and 24 threads.
14th Generation Intel “HX” CPUs will be permanently soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. However, the motherboard itself allows users to upgrade other components. This motherboard features a Micro-ATX form factor for compact systems and features the following specifications:

The Erying MoTD motherboard belongs to the Polestar series and is equipped with the HM770 chipset. This kit will support memory up to 5600 MT/s and allows the installation of a total RAM capacity of up to 192 GB. There are 3x M.2 NVMe slots and most of the contents are similar to a regular LGA socket motherboard. This motherboard comes in an mATX package with an 8+1+1 phase VRM design and multiple heatsinks covering the power delivery, M.2 slot, and PCH. The CPU is equipped with a vapor chamber heat spreader and is supported by a standard LGA 1700 socket cooler.
In terms of IO, the motherboard has a full set of USB ports and two PCIe Gen4 slots that include one x16 and one x4 connection. Three M.2 slots come in one Gen4x4 connection and two Gen3x4 connections. The MoTD motherboard also comes with a 2.5 GbE LAN port & WiFi6 wireless connectivity.
This will allow users to maximize their desktop performance without increasing power consumption as the mobile version is much more efficient than the Raptor Lake Refresh desktop chips. Additionally, users will be able to upgrade their PCs by installing dedicated graphics cards, and upgrading memory, storage, and various other components.
