A massive truck fire has closed the M25 between Junction 5 near Sevenoaks and Junction 6 near Godstone.
The incident occurred at around 10pm on Sunday and had closed all clockwise lanes of the motorway. The counterclockwise section of the highway is partially open, but lanes three and four remain closed near Junction 6.
National Highways said the road was likely to remain closed until midday.
He added: “Specialist restoration will be required, and the road surface will likely need to be resurfaced.”
Emergency services warned drivers to avoid the area.
