Xiaomi’s new 15th generation phone is coming soon. We already have the full spec sheets for both phones, as well as an announcement date set for October 20. We also have a good idea of what the Xiaomi 15 Pro will look like, thanks to some early renders.

Now, a device that looks like a Xiaomi 15 Pro unit has been spotted in the wild with the same rear camera setup as the render mentioned above. One could easily mistake the phone for the Xiaomi 14 Pro, but what sets it apart is the LED flash which is now located outside the main camera island. Apart from that, the overall design language seems to be unchanged from the Xiaomi 14 Pro. By the way, the person holding the phone on the phone is Xiaomi Group Vice President Wang Xiaoyan, so everything makes sense.

Speaking of the distinctive new camera module, most agree that a redesign was necessary to accommodate the new advanced periscope telephoto camera. It is said to be a 50 MP 5x telemacro unit with a minimum focus distance of 30cm. The Leica branded primary camera is expected to be a 50 MP main unit with a 1/1.3″ sensor and f/1.4 aperture. There is also a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP selfie camera.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro is rumored to come with a quad-curved AMOLED panel from TCL measuring 6.78 inches, “2K” resolution, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The phone is powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. The battery has a capacity of 6,000 mAh and supports 90W wired and 80W wireless charging, with 10W reverse wireless. Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to come in black, white and silver. A special titanium edition will also be available. Xiaomi will likely offer five major OS updates for its devices.
