Journalist Linda Stelma and her husband Harm (a handyman) bought a dilapidated villa from 1905 on the outskirts of the Veluwe. Since then they have been renovating the house and garden. This summer she will write about this adventure again.
At the bottom of the stairs is a man with a folder under his arm. He shouts something to Harm who is working on the roof, but I can’t hear him. My heart starts to beat faster.
It’s the first week after we got the keys and I’m cleaning the house. Harm is temporarily repairing the roof to protect it as much as possible from the rain and cold next winter.
