Anne-Mathije Bogerd wanted to better understand what people in debt experience and design better policies together with them. She lived on welfare for a month and used the food bank. She then started working at the food bank. She quickly met experienced experts who also began to trust her and were able to help her come up with an approach where people were not unnecessarily sent from pillar to post.
