POLL: What was the greatest military battle in British history? Vote here

Robert Novoski

The British have long been involved in some of the most significant battles in history.

From the American Revolution to the Napoleonic Wars and both World Wars, the importance of these events cannot be underestimated – for better or worse, the events surrounding these battles have helped shape the Britain we know today.

But in your opinion, reader, which is most important? Would you choose the Battle of Trafalgar, which today marks its 219th anniversary?

Or perhaps you think the Battle of Hastings, with William the Conqueror’s victory against Harold Godwinson, was more important and era-defining?

Maybe you think we missed something important from this list — head to the comments section below to let us know.
