To date, more than twenty attacks or attempted attacks have been committed at Van Uffelen’s home and property. His house was therefore sealed off, meaning that the man and his family were no longer allowed into the house. They were able to return home at the beginning of July after the mayor did not extend the closure of the building.
Two suspects, a 33-year-old man from Almere and a 16-year-old from Amsterdam, were arrested this week at Greta Hofstralaan’s house in Vlaardingen for placing flammable objects in front of the door. Police arrested a third suspect, a 19-year-old from Amsterdam, on Friday. The flammable objects were found in front of the house’s door at around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Nothing exploded and no injuries were reported.
The plumber himself died last Monday due to medical reasons. Security around his relatives’ home was increased from Wednesday.
