New Delhi:

The topic of high entourage fees charged by actors has come up many times in recent months. The latest celeb to express his opinion is none other than Kabir Bedi. The veteran actor spoke about how actors demand excessive amounts from producers. He said, “Look, I have a maid and a dresser, and my demands are very reasonable. I don’t demand anything more. I believe the actor’s demands against the producer are very wrong,” in an interview with Bollywood Bubble.

“I feel this is a baseless demand. OK, the producers need to pay for the makeup, hair, and maybe the officiant too. But any request other than this is unreasonable. It is an actor’s responsibility if they want publicity, cameras, and social media specialists. It’s not the producer’s job to do that,” added Kabir Bedi.

Kabir Bedi added that this problem is unique to India. “Internationally, you only need to use the make-up artist provided by the producer unless you are an A-lister. Most producers pay for your makeup, hair and presence only if you are a big personality. “I think this should also happen in India,” he said.

Apart from his work in similar films Sacrifice, Hero: A Spy’s Love StoryAnd DilwaleKabir Bedi has also appeared in many international projects, including Archer: Fugitive from the Empire, The tiger is still alive: Sandokan will save! And Baghdad Thief.

Last month, Karan Johar also spoke about the high troupe fees paid to actors. “All the actors, who charge, for what they charge for the big multiverse, they have to see the way. Everyone has to come and make a film together and make it happen. We have to tell all kinds of stories and Hindi Cinema yearns for all kinds of content to tell. But the problem is that the movie doesn’t show the numbers. And they collapse and you don’t have the ability to make that film. Superstars are no longer the reason to open a film,” he said at The Hollywood Reporter India roundtable discussion. Click here to read in detail.
