Last week we had another baptism service, which we do once a year at the end of the church season. So I just happened to be here.
We are standing on Westeinderplassen on Surf Island, overlooking the lake. In the distance, planes are taking off and to our right is the almost 100-year-old Aalsmeer water tower. This is where Alicia Visser (28) was baptised.
