FrieslandCampina continues to suffer from declining milk supply

‘When dairy farmers do not know where they stand, it is difficult to plan for the future, make investments and organise business operations accordingly. We therefore hope that in the coming period there will be more clarity on the important files for dairy farmers,’ says Van Karnebeek.

Some farmers also benefited from a severance payment scheme that lasted until November last year. This was an agreement in connection with the merger between Friesland Foods and Campina that took place years ago.

At FrieslandCampina, milk supplies decreased by 3.2 percent over the past six months to around 4.7 billion kilograms. Milk supplies also fell in 2023 and the previous year.
