NRC published an article Wednesday about four anonymous former bunq employees who examined accounts they did not need for their work. According to the newspaper, they could do so without consequences. The article also contains internal chat messages in which, among other things, concerns are expressed about privacy at the bank.
“It cannot be that the newspaper simply mentions all those who refuse to cooperate by name and then quotes them selectively,” says Niknam.
NRC Deputy Chief Editor Melle Garschagen says in a first response that she has a lot of confidence in the newspaper’s journalism. She will later give a more detailed answer.
