Bill Gates has personally said he has donated about $50 million to nonprofits supporting Kamala Harris, the New York Times reported, citing three people briefed on the matter.
The Microsoft co-founder’s donation to Future Forward, the main outside fundraising group for Harris, was intended to remain confidential, the outlet reported.
Gates has not publicly supported a presidential candidate in the past, but previously praised Harris when she was the Democratic nominee, saying it was “great” that someone younger was running.
