The decision to close the buildings and grounds of the storage and transshipment company in the port area was taken by the mayor of Vlissingen, Bas van den Tillaar, based on a police investigation. The police and FIOD jointly arrested three directors of the company in May under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (OM). The men, aged 59, 56 and 43, are suspected of importing cocaine from South America, participating in a criminal organisation and counterfeiting.
The company has been granted a temporary deferral of payment until October 8.
