It may be the last televised debate before the November 5 elections. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris crossed swords once last month, but Trump later said he no longer needed a new debate. Political analysts and viewers of CNN and Fox News judged Harris to have won the debate.
Now it is the turn of Walz and Vance, also two opposing personalities. Walz, 60, is considered an experienced and no-nonsense politician of the political center. The former teacher and football coach served in the House of Representatives and is now governor of Minnesota. He became popular among Democrats by describing Trump’s Republican supporters as “weird.” According to CNN, Walz is nervous because he considers himself a bad debater.
Vance, 40, is a member of the Senate representing Ohio. He is very conservative and shares many of Trump’s views. In recent weeks he has been in the news for his striking statements. Vance called Harris and other Democrats “childless cat ladies” and claimed that Haitian immigrants in his state eat dogs and cats. That story caused a lot of upset, but was quickly debunked by the American media.
The two running mates from the all-important Midwest have attacked each other often in recent weeks. The American media expects another heated debate.
